Neither give place to the devil. (Ephesians 4:27, KJV)
The word of God let us know that the evil we see in the world doesn’t just happen. The word let us know that it is backed by an invincible force that is in rebellion against the Lord. His name is Satan, and as many as have given him the place to operate will experience suffering and great troubles. Satan is indeed a rebellious spirit, he indeed walks about seeking whom he may devour, but the only place that he has to operate is the one that you give him in your life and your world. Satan has no ground for operation if you refuse him one. All his seemingly powerful schemes and plots are nothing when he has no grounds for operation.
The word says, give no place to the devil. This is something you need to learn how to do. It’s important because If you don’t, then Satan will illegally rampage your life and your world. So it’s important to know how the word teaches us to deny him grounds for operation.
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7, KJV) The first thing the word of God teaches us is to be in subjection to God. That means to submit your heart to the authority of the word to live in what the word says. It’s important to live right according to the word of God so that Satan finds not an accusation against you. And even if he finds an accusation against you for your wrong living, you can turn his plans against him by changing your heart and receiving forgiveness of sins and turning your heart to the Word to rebuke him. This is important because anytime you are not submitted to the word, the devil seems to have an upper hand, so align your entire life with the word and live in submission to God’s authority – the Word. Secondly, he said to resist the devil and he will flee from you. (Understand that this is only possible when you submit yourself to God, so change your heart if you are not and you will immediately have the power to resist the devil).
Now, as you are in submission to God, how do you resist the devil? You do so through the words of faith in prayer and declarations. You don’t want the devil in operation anymore? Well, kick him out. Tell him to get out and stay out. Speak out faith-filled words to deny him a place in every area of your life. Whatever you will decree will be established. Job 22:28 says Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
You are a king over every circumstance and situation. You are a king over Satan. That’s the truth. Satan and all his demons are your slaves. Even though they are rebellious doesn’t change who they are to you, slaves! Kick them out and never allow them to operate and bring havoc.
DECLARATION: declare that my life henceforth and evermore is in submission to God through the word. I refuse the devil a place in my life, my family, and my world. I break the influence of darkness and wickedness. I proclaim the name of Jesus over them. I cut them off my life, my nation, and my world. I refuse evil to operate. Hallelujah! I’m a son of God, I’m reigning and not demons. I’m reigning in victory. Hallelujah!
